I'M OBED, A HOUSTON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Hey — I’m Obed. You can call me OB (like O + bed).
I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Houston, Texas. I care less about perfect poses and more about what actually happens—the chaos, the in-between moments, the stuff you didn’t even realize was happening until you look back.
Growing up, my parents were always trying to capture moments—photos on film that never got developed, little videos that sat around for years. Now that I’m older, those are the things I go back to. They’re imperfect, but they hold everything. That’s where this all started for me.
I’m very Sagittarius about it: I chase what’s real. I’ll follow good light, stay ready for the unexpected, and catch the moments that can’t be planned—quick glances, loud laughter, happy tears, and whatever unfolds naturally. If things get a little wild, even better. That’s usually when the best photos happen.
I’m down to travel, I feed off good energy, and yes—a good party helps. My goal is simple: photos that still hit 20+ years from now—the kind you can feel, not just look at.
